Title: work points
Post by: Donn Nay on August 11, 2016, 07:49:15 am
every year it's a hassle getting a list passed around for work points. I'm thinking the better way to do this is to have a list at sign up for everyone to fill in. This way it is YOUR responsibility to make sure your AMA and district information is properly filled out. This way it is in signups where it needs to be for the post race report. We can announce it at the Friday night meeting, etc.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea,  I will keep an eye on it,
Try to get everyone to fill out.

I have a question on the work points ... those who come to our race and do both their class's GP, and the desert scramble, get to receive two sets of desert points for the weekend. Does that mean that we are paid out two sets of work points then ??

You are allowed two sets of work points per year so yes, since we do a GP that pays desert points AND a Scrambles that pays desert points you get both sets in one weekend. Note that clubs that hold dual Euros get the same.

I believe this is true for GP points as well but you'd only get one set, need to confirm that if you have a GP number.

I don't think you need to fill out two entries but maybe to be safe do one for Scrambles and one for GP.

Got it! I just wanted to be sure because looking at work points from our races last year, it did not seem like this was the case. I will keep that in mind, thanks Donn!

I intend to fill out one for the GP and one for the scrambles. Last year I didn't get points for one of them. This cost me a position, which last year I didn't particularly care about, but this year I do (O3).

Well it looks like the same thing that happened last year is happening again this year. Anyone know why mototally is only showing work points for the GP and not the scramble? Should be two sets of work points, but we're only getting one.

I emailed my steward yesterday, he reached out to the district referee and here is the response I got:

Ashlee
I sent the district referee your email. This is his reply. I would do this ASAP. You are listed as work on the GP results but not on the Desert Scrambles results.

From Tom
Since it is within the 10 day protest period, (Denise posted them the 14th), she is ok. But the club Referee must get hold of Denise to get them.

***can someone forward this information to piper?? He can reach Denise at  denise.pavlu@district37ama.org  to ensure those who worked receive all work points they are entitled to.

From what I have been told, it is taken care of. Jason contacted Denise to straighten it out and Tom Purdy is aware of the corrections.
