I will definitely be racing the 10 am race, still undecided about the night race based on my experience from last night....let's just say that my first night race ever was an, ummm, interesting experience :-\

Well, let's just say that I was racing a motorcycle and managed to fall off of and get stuck on a quad....the race was really rough, especially on Jenni's 200. Took me 2.5 hours to get to mile 20, super super super sandy. After getting stuck for the 50th time (at least it seemed like the 50th time) Pete came along and helped, but we got stuck again and some of the So Cal guys picked me up and took me to the finish....btw, next time you see Pete you should ask him to do his impression of me when he found stranded...pretty darn funny! And in case you hadn't figured it out already....both teams (Aaron and Pete, Jenni and myself) DNF'd

You know the rest, so sorry to hear about this set back. Heal up fast, at least it happened during the "summer break".

Just wish I didn't have to miss the night races.

Saw James Jenkins in one of the videos posted on the district board. How did he do? What bike did he ride with a light?
-
james and i rode his bike, we borrowed aaron's light, James had light trouble on the first loop and it took about 45 mins for the first loop so we were a lap down at the start, James got it fixed in a check i think with some zip ties and got into the pits past it off to me and we ran about 22-23 min lap times for the rest of the race, oh yea you can see me in one of those videos too :D

;D ;D
well we had another great weekend of fun in the sun.it started at 10:00 am. James and gumby started with all
the 250 ammies and not one backed off as they came around the turn.Megan started back on line 31 went
with a great start. Julian and my self headed the pits with mcgrath help.as they came around the first loop,254x
and James were doing some heavy racing to see who was going to get the lead, with all the rest of class not far
behind, and gumby not far behind.next loop James was in front and 254x in2ND then next lap they came in side
be side and James edged him out just passed the pits and took the lead again, then gumby came in,and Jim
noticed he was missing his oil filler plug and oil everywhere had to find another filler cap,Jim took his off his beta
and it fit and gave some more oil and off he went, now gumby(oil filler cap)is his name for this race.Megan ran
into some trouble and fell off her bike bruised herself pretty good but was able to make it to the finish.
James and 254x raced to the finished and 254x taking the win from James, and finished 5Th

Way to go James, another great race, maybe another transfer! Red bar coming sooner than you think. Great that Gumby and James can team up for these too, but I have to think James' bike must beat up Gumby pretty good, there must be close to 80# difference between the two of them.
Nice that Sgt. Jim made the trip.

James Jenkins!
Is there anyway you can photo shop OUT the character in the foreground???? ::)

actually james's bike was working really well for me, i think his springs are a little light for him, I was surprised i was able to run the same lap times as james.

I wouldn't be surprised if James' bike is undersprung, seems to sag quite a bit with him on it. You're skills are improving Gumby, keep it up!
-
It's official...went to the doctor today and I am out
for at least 6 weeks with a partially torn ligament in my thumb, yes, unfortunately it is my throttle hand and my writing hand :-(
