The Desert Daisies and Hilltoppers joined forces to put on Saturday's Desert Scramble. Perfect weather, although a little more breeze would have been nice to clear the dust. Bomb was super dusty and ended right into a short narrow sandy canyon in the Buttes. Was pretty much mayhem in there with dust so thick you literally couldn't see your front fender. Must have been great spectating if you were up on the rocks looking down on it. The course went to Soggy Dry Lake, turned back to Anderson and then to the pits at Cougar Butte. Lots of rain ruts from last weeks rain, which did nothing to keep it from being super dusty. We had 5 racers on the pit board plus Max Eddy signed up as a Viewfinder but didn't pit with us. Club results were Gary La Charite 2nd Open Senior Expert, Gumby 4th 250 Expert, Pete Medina 5th Master, Me 8th Master, and Nils Davis DNF with a flat. Thanks to Julian for handling the pit.
