This would be a great opportunity for the Viewfinders MC to assist in working a dez race ...
Taken from the D37 board..
We need clubs/people to volunteer to help with check points for the RHR race November 24 at North Anderson in Lucerne Valley. So far, only SoCal has volunteered to help. Please call race referee Guy Kibbe at 714-863-2114 if you or your club can help out. Guy would like to have about 8 groups volunteer.
You will receive 2nd place race/work points regardless if you are in a club or not (unless you have already received your total allowed of two sets of work points). Give Guy a call if you are interested in helping. You don't have to be in a club to help out. Guy will have a place for you!!
Thanks!!!!
If you have any questions, or need to know what RHR is all about, fire away

The Viewfinders helped out w/ the start bomb last year. It would be nice if we could do it again this year!!!
I'll be there to work the race, KJ

Please telephone Mr. Kibbe at the above phone # so that he can account for you/rely on ya!!

Thanksgiving weekend is a big family weekend for the Nays at Teagle Wash so we won't be able to make it :(
-
M&M Hastings have commited to helping RHR also. I am sure others will fall in to help. I will call Guy Kibbe to commit to doing the start to bomb!!! WOOHOO KJ

Talked to Guy Kibbe today. Any Viewie volunteers that want to step and help up post here. I signed us up for start to bomb. Their planning to start like Invaders, by class, 2 side by side rows (ie exp hwt one side and exp 250 other side etc off @ same time) and every 30 seconds They start w/ exp and work back to beg.The Viewfinder banner will drop 20+ times to get everyone off. Same race location as last year in Lucerne. KJ

-
Bump for Brian!
-
Thanks Kandy, i would like to help also if there is room. Is this going to be a theme start?
-
Can always use more hands. The by class start will have 40+ rows to flag off. We can help or should do bomb sweeps. Anyone out on Friday can help MARK the bomb hazards.Mid Life Max knows what needs marked :o he found them racing last year. Thought he could clear the mine tailings ::) I'll have row #s and stakes for the start. Hopefully Russ can bring his Rhino for a start truck. KJ
ps It was Great tio see the Viewie banner start the event last year.
pss I'll also will set up and head up the pit like last year if we have any racers.
-
I will be out friday afternoon. i can sweep or whatever.... ;D just please let me know if i need to bring the big bike or the little one.
ps we get work points for this correct?
-
2nd place points and you work less than our GP and you won't have to beat yourself up for 70 miles ;D And you get to hang around good company unless Big JT shows up!!! But, if your looking for a drinking team mate, then the SPIRIT is one you what to have around for entertainment ;D Just ask Kandy ::) KJ

Too bad this isn't at Red Mountain, then we could help too. Our family will be at Teagle Wash for turkey day.
-
Got the supplies ready for the start line. There are 45 rows to start. Hope to double up some start rows so everyone is off before the leaders show up. ALL VIEWIE VOLUNTEERS need to meet Friday @ noon @ the start line to set up rows w/ stakes and #s. We will also need to mark the short bomb run. KJ
ps See ya all the day after T-DAY!!!
-
I wont be able to make it that early. i will be out later in the afternoon. Sorry
-
No worries Brian. We should be out there by Noon - looking forward to working this race! See ya'll on Friday!

I have not been to camp rock road yet, whats the best way? drive into lucern or cut across? is it on the way to couger buttes?
-
Rabbit springs road were it splits off from the main highway (at the dry lakes before lucerne) bypasses the town. Some people say its easier (but we have been desert rats all our lives) I would say just follow the main highway until you see arrows at Camp Rock Rd. That way you won't miss all of the little meth hotties walking around town. Its such a great show.
-
Yes, there will be arrows sending you North/East of Cougar Buttes on Camprock towards Anderson Dry Lake. You will find more arrows sending you NORTH of Anderson a few more miles down the road.
See ya Friday, KJ

After you gotten there I'll give you the easier way out through Barstow @ 58 and 247. Off 247, by cutting over at Northside Rd to Camprock there is no backtracking. Problem is there is no arrows going that way. KJ
