"NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT! BE THERRRRRRRRE!!!!!!!!!" - Larry Huffman
-
So who is man enough? ;D
-
Im really thinking about raceing.I havent rode at all in two months though so im out of shape.
I can honestly say that right now i could probably not finish a 5 hour night race in my current condition.
Are you going?I really want to give it a shot.
-
No excuses! I am just getting over my broken foot. Tomorrow will be the first time I have even started my KTM in months and I am still going to race. You should race. All you have to do is pace yourself.
-
Okay, you convinced me....I WILL BE THERE. ;D If i get a pin i will be so stoked.Last year i raced this one and DNF.We should pit together.

I am just trying to be more like that one dude who showed up and schooled me on how to ride enduros with a broken back and a sheared off right footpeg. That guy is a badass! (for a Beta rider)

So here is the report. You guys missed out. This was the coolest night race I have done yet. Great course.
Yankee was very excited for the start of the race.

By the second lap he seemed to have lost his enthusiasm.

-
At the start of the third lap he was so unimpressed that he nodded off.

-
By the time I passed the bike back to Gumby for the second time Yankee had slipped into an irreversible coma due to despair over my lap time.

Even Ironman Terry could not bring her out of it by winning his class.

-
In the end Gumby fought hard to keep from getting lapped by Imoff by a few seconds to that he could go another lap. Me and Yankee were both unimpressed and let him know it. While Julian sent Gumby back out to finish the race.

Aaron failed to mention that there were only two teams in his class and that he and gumby only finished about 4 minutes behind the leader!

No. Things went to crap. I will hopefully placing an order in the morning if nobody gets shot or anything.
-
oh yea and put a clutch lever on that bike, it might help for the live engine starts
-
Dude, clutch levers are so last decade!

You got that right, my Husky clutch lever is just along for the ride since the Rekluse went in ;D
Tried the left hand rear brake setup for awhile, but too confusing.
Lookin at the results and checking out the lap times seems like Mr Gumby whooped up on Mr Price ;)
Great job there guys, wish I could have made it out, heck there was only 1 guy in my class and he only went 1 lap, need to find another "oldster" to share a ride with :-[
-
Yeah Aaron i saw some pics of me...sitting down looking tired haha :-[
Got 38th out of 50 overall.Sounds better to say i was 5th out of 14 ironmen though,so im sticking to that!

Thanks Donn but i only made it by going slow...I think i got passed by a desert totoise at one point!
If i would have gave 100% i would have been wasted after two and a half hours.

DON'T even mention a tortise, they might close that area if they THINK there is one out there ;D
My motto is to go slow and make it, rather than go fast and not finish.
Glad to see you finished.
