I'm planning on it. We might be able to get some support from Kyle or Brian, they both live fairly close to the finish. I just asked and Brian is 10-12 miles away, Kyle a bit closer. If there's only a few of us we might be able to borrow Uncle Mike's trailer to get them back to the start. I probably won't camp, only 45 minutes from home to the start for me ;D but I'm also thinking about riding back on the street.

I was thinking about it as well. The finish is just about 4 or 5 miles from Tractor Boys nest/ yard and about 15 minutes from my place. I have room for everyone to camp you anyone needs to at my place.
I fine it interesting they are pulling this off with green and red sticker bikes, it is great!

No time keeping equipment needed, Since its NOT a race or at least I think its not, whats the deal ??
From reading the posts over at D-37, the first loop is 48 miles of "fire roads" then lunch/gas stop.
The rest of you will go back out for another 38 miles of fun.

Well this is an enduro so it is a race but its the qualifier format. So you cruise to the special test, go as fast as you can through the special test, they take your time at the end of the special, and then you cruise to the next special test.

I just realized its right after Vikings and making it out 2 weekends in a row is tough on the finances with the cost of fuel.

Now we can work on the logistics of getting back from a pt to pt w/ unplated bikes!!! Lee offered a open truck and his enclosed trailer for drop off/transfer! KJ

Well he rides w/ CB maybe it can get fixed on the trail being BARNEY KNOWS THE BIKE _.._
And if not us SLOWER riders can pick up and deliver the PIECES or at least know how long it will take him to walk/hike out! Pot

I can bring the peek-op and the box trailer.....that SHOULD be able to get most everyone back to the start, we can squeeze four bikes in the trailer and two in the bed of the Ford.....Six poeple will fit in the cab.....Just need a driver .....tried to get Nutt jobb to come out and do the transportation duties but she will be outta town at the the stagecoach country western bash in Indio.....Im sure we can get some sort of victim to volunteer before race day......Lee

Something to think about. Tractor boy's place is about 5 to 10 mintutes from the start. if we meet at Tractor boy's and trailered the bikes to the start all the vehicle would be very close to the finish at the end of the day. I have a 14 foot flat bed trailer we can put 5 to 8 bikes on depending how they are loaded. My personal feeling are I would rather deal with getting bikes to the start and have the trucks near the finish. Myself and Donn could ride the bikes to Tractor boys after the finish cutting down the bikes that need to be trailered.

I'm up for doing it anyway you want. I've asked Kyle to help out, he has not confirmed yet but I'll see him Saturday and we'll talk about it.
My feeling about Mike's place is that we're handling the bikes three times, once out of the truck and onto the trailer for the trip to the start, then back on the trailer for transfer from finish to Mikey's, then transfer to the truck again.
If we all meet at the start we save one load/unload. Either way we're waiting until everyone finishes.

Whatever we do if I can get a lift bike and me to the start I will ride home from the finish. My pit support or I should I say team Boss Darlene is having a foot surgery on Tuesday so she will not be able to assist driving my sorry butt around, keeping me focused or keeping me headed in the correct direction.

Not sure of the logistics of this thing, but Mike Dion lives in Lake Hughes near the gas/pit stop and offered up some help until noon on race day! His youngest has a christening Sunday afternoon. He said he can help pit w/ our own gas as he thinks pitting off the pumps may be a cluster!!! He also mentioned about having a small trailer to lock stuff up in! KJ

He is planning on bringing it out along w/ the use of his truck. He has Norm hooked up on driving/ hauling things around also. An extra truck @ the finish w/ ramp and tie downs should get everyone back to start. I already see that Uncle Mike will be watching the BEER!!! ''.. ''.. ''.. Yes, meet at the start about 7:00, key time is 8:00 so that should be good. Pit truck shouldn't have to leave until we do.

Any truck that goes into Rowher will need an adventure pass for the day if its parked, they're available at the 7-11 at Soledad/Sierra Hwy.

FUN!
Basically a fast dual sport ride. You should have ridden/raced Bob, you'd have enjoyed the first loop, it was all fire roads with two specials. Only 3 or 4 specials on the second loop and likely two will be thrown out. About 55 miles and we had 100% finish with no incidences. I'm pretty pooped but that's because I'm out of shape. HUGE kudos to Lost Coyotes and USFS for making this happen. A couple snafus that they could not avoid limited some of the fun, the biggest one being a large layover at the break, played hell with my back as it started to lock up and took 2/3 of the second loop to loosen up. Almost ate it in one of the giant rain ruts in the first special but the Honda saved itself (certainly wasn't the rider!) then didn't make it up one hill on the second loop because I was in 2nd, not first with my DS gearing, had to go back to the bottom and start over again.
All in all a good/fun day. Uncle Mike, Brian, Kyle and Degan (his little guy) were out for pit support/chase duties along with Norm, Jenny Price and Mark (Sage's dad). We had 9 racers!
