Turns, bushs and trees.Nonstop.That pretty much sums up this race.1st or 2nd maybe 3rd gear the whole time.Very tight course.

Overall it was fun.I crashed into a really thick bush, didnt feel great but i was okay,Donn had a incident with a bush also.J.J. has a story i will let him tell....I think Keith had a incident with a bush also!Common theme here.

I think everyone had fun though.Im glad to whore up some more points.I felt a little dizzy and dehydrated at the end of the 3rd loop. Some other folks felt the same.It was pretty tuff but fun too.

Went out on the 3rd loop feeling like Donn looked after he finished. New it was gonna be tough to finish as I am terrible at turning and that is all there was turns. Got about a mile from the finish of the 3rd loop and  felt a bit nauseaus. Knew I was almost done but came around a corner and saw a rather large waterfall. I proceeded to bull dog the bike down, I got to the bottom and felt like I was gonna go dark. So I leaned over the bike for a few momments as a small crowd of 2 young ladies and a Photographer by the name of Grumpy gathered. Then the unthinkable happened. An uphevel erupted. The sound of JJ puking in a canyon, all I here from the 2 young ladies is " That poor guy" as Grumpy scrambled for his camera. Being the manboy that I am, I proceeded to reattach my helmet and ride off into the sunset to finish my worst race ever. And if the 2 young ladies are reading this my # is 951-123-dork. :-(~

Yes JJ, Grumpy got the shot! I asked him on the way out and he said, "yes"!

Wonder how large a print he can make  ::)

I'll echo JJ's comments. Kicked my old butt. It was like riding 35 miles at Barneyland but trying to make time on the specials. This was my first qualifier, thank you Kieth for giving me some pointers, was interesting. Turns, turns, turns, and then more turns. I've had muscle cramps in places I didn't even know I had muscles! And tomorrow will be worse.

JJ, please pass the Mangicil, my Mangina needs some help.

Got home @ 9:45 PM (5 1/2 Hr drive) !!! I had a GREAT time! Conserved energy and took cat naps on the long route and lunch breaks. Must have been the secret as I felt and feel pretty good today. Lost rear brakes several times w/ one time making me implant myself into a large juniper. Didn't feel good but continued on. JJ failed to mention the GIRLS were 4 minutes behind us and Kelly Barbosa was blowing our doors off. JJ and I hung together most of the time. UNFORTUNATLY I missed the HEAVING incident :o I still have to laugh when I think about about JJ'S story ;D ;D ;D ;D
Donn was spent but manned up for his 2 loops and Terry was going to stop @ loop 2 until he was told desert point only come w/ finishing all 3 loops so he continued on and out ran JJ and me. Those that weren't there missed an epic ride!!! This is what Donn probably feels like today and tomorrow /;/
