Since I have not seen it posted on here I will make the effort...
For those of you who are not aware our wonderful leaders have put a ban on any motorcycle designed to be used by anybody under the age of 13. Not just bikes, but parts and so and so forth. It is part of a lead poisoning bill (yes kids clearly eat motorcycles often). I stole a sample of the text for the petition from the district site. Anybody who has not signed this yet please take a moment to do so. Just cut and paste.

Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA). Intended to make children's everyday toys safer, the rule governing implementation of the act threatens to end youth off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding entirely. According to section 101(a) of the enacted legislation, all youth products containing lead must have less than 600 parts per million (ppm) by weight. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has interpreted the law to apply to various components of youth OHVs including the engine, brakes, suspension, battery and other mechanical parts. Even though the lead levels in these parts are small, they are still above the minimum threshold. Someone should get fired for this. Please provide me with documentation of any child, anywhere, ever, being poisoned by lead for licking his or her motorcycle. The economy is in a shambles and lives are being destroyed, literally, in businesses where they have just lost half of their product sales inventory. There is no reason to ban the motorcycles. None whatsoever. The public appreciates you looking out for us. This is not an example of such activity. This is a move taken with a broad brush, with absolutely no thought or research into the items on the banned list. Action is necessary now, to stop the inclusion of motorcycles and ATVs on this list. The unavailability of youth OHVs will devastate family OHV recreation and cripple amateur competition, creating a domino effect across all aspects of motorized recreation.

We were in 2 shops today, Temecula Motorsports and Malcolm Smith.
The sales floor looks empty without all the little guys stuff :'(
It amazes Me that we have 535 STUPID PEOPLE who make or support these STUPID LAWS.
I understand those little toys that kids chew on, but I have yet to see kids chewing on there scooters, (maybe some dirt) or drinking the battery fluid or ???

I was at Bert's last week and they have Yamahas back on the floor with an official warning sticker. Maybe that's how they can get around this B.S. for now at least.

I heard somewhere that the small quads got around the law because there designed for 14 and over anyway??
