Title: Racer Down
Post by: Donn Nay on October 12, 2010, 01:00:48 pm
Russ called me a bit ago to say James got hurt Sunday. Looks like a season ending shoulder injury. Seems James has an issue with tightening axle nuts! :o :o

Lost the front wheel on the bomb run at VERY high speed and lawn darted, shoulder first. Guess they're looking for a donor bike for parts now. Russ didn't know if it will require surgery or not.

Heal up soon

And let someone from the club give your bike the "once over" before you start the race  ;D

Deanna said ER doc. called it a fifth degree separation, that's a BAD one, mine was "only" third degree. If it is indeed fifth it will require surgery from what I studied before. They are navigating the Kaiser maize right now (hey Cousin Chuckie, any advice for them? Can Tori help accelerate the referral?)

James ... this sucks.  You had a great roll going this year.  Hope it turns out to be less serious than first thought.  If it is as serious, hope you heal quickly and fully.  Best wishes to the Jenkins tribe.

Unfortunately he now needs another cycle! The list of damaged parts is quite extensive according to Russ.

So glad he doesn't need surgery though, it is a very painful one I've been told. James and I can now compare monkey bumps!

James was out watching us at a few locations on the enduro course this weekend. He stopped by camp and visited. Shoulder still sore but, said he will be back Said his bike was jacked up and he was very lucky because things could have been much worse! KJ
