Hey everyone, we are planning a New Years Weekend in the Desert. It will be in the Teagle Wash area and more specifics will come as we get closer. Several Viewies have already committed to going so come on out and bring your family and friends.
Lets start the New Year off together and keep the momentum going to make next year a great year for the club. A few of us are already planning on going out during the week to make it a long weekend so plan to come out as long as you want.
More details to come...
So it is getting close and I want to make sure everyone is on board for some activities. Most of the people will be there Friday so looking for any volunteers to put on a ride Friday that can be a longer most of the day ride or just a fun loop. Also Saturday where we will be back early afternoon so we have plenty of time for cooking and relaxing before the big night.
For Saturday night, we would like to do a planned Happy Hour where everyone can bring an Appetizer and or a drink of their choice to share with everyone. It would be good to have a choice of both alcohol and non-alcohol versions so the kids and anyone not drinking can enjoy as well. We would also like to do a planned Potluck that night so everyone can bring a side dish to share. We are still working out the main meal but I heard there may be some pulled pork among other things.
Please let me know if you want to plan a ride or what Happy Hour and Side Dish you would like to bring for Saturday night. It is sounding like we should have between 40 to 60 people there but hopefully we will have a better number as we get closer. Planned times and more details to come...

The extended Nay Family is committed.
Pssst! Don't tell her I said so but Pam turns 60 1.3.17 so we'll have to do something to celebrate that milestone.

This has also been added as an Event on Facebook but I will update both sites with Details as we get them.

That's greats Dave! It should be a good turnout. Once we have a better idea of who is going and when, we can plan some destination rides.

James and I will be out there as well. I believe I have got my mom committed also along with the girls.
My niece had a blast out at the Grand Prix and wants to keep going out to the races.
Oh yea, of coarse we plan on the big 60 for Pam.

Awesome! Looking like it should be a good turn out!

I think Kenny and Josette are coming (they've been to the GP a few times, older couple from the lake).
They have a Bounder MH and a jeep, thought they would have fun exploring some of the mines, maybe with the Rhinos.
-
Hopefully Duck and Mary will make it as well along with their gang.

Chris what find of a ride or you thinking about for Friday?
-
It really depends on just how many people are there. We could just do a fun loop around the valley or do a destination ride to somewhere. For Saturday, I thought it may be fun to do a Randsburg run if we think we had enough time to get there for lunch and get back early enough. For Friday, depending on what people were in the mood for, we could do a LONG run to the Schmidt tunnel, or something like that or just do a fun loop.
I would like to get some people to chime in to see what they want to do. If you are interested in putting on the ride, what ideas do you have?
-
I have no real ideas at this time but I would be glad to lead it. I can put something together
-
For the Happy Hour if you are bringing a alcoholic beverage to share, think of make a shot size taste. If everyone goes around drinking one of each as a regular size some might not make it to mid-night...............Just saying :)

Since I have not seen an update on where we're going. We are going to Teagle Wash, to Pipeline and then turn right. There should be signs posted also.
