I will be sending out an email reminder also but we are planning around 2:00 pm Saturday. We will drive over there, not ride since that would be too much.

It's on my radar screen, hope to race as well. You know, old guy, one loop.
-
So I asked about whether or not my class was going 2 or 3 loops for this race. At DMC they only went 2 loops. Below is the response I got. At this point I am planning on racing but we will see how my knee is doing after DD'g GP. I tweaked my knee along with getting the gash and it was feeling pretty good until we went for a hike yesterday. It is a little soar again today now so I am not sure I am ready for 100 miles but I hope so.
"Senior Intermediates are scheduled to go 3 loops at our event. Loop 2 and 3 of our race has been laid out by a Senior Intermediate. If you did our race last year, this year's race will not have as much challenging terrain. The course is long (almost 100 miles total), so you will definitely be challenged, but there aren't going to be any of the nasty canyons where you have to carry your bike down."

JJ will be there.
Since He blew up the Katoom today, he will be riding My Husky :-@
Aaron, you going out next Sunday, might need help pushing ;D

JJ will be happy about that, since My bike has a Rekluse clutch and don't like knarly downhills

So who's going out Friday? I assume the Jenkins will be out early? LMK, planning on leaving Burbank late afternoon, should be there around 6 or so.

We will be there sometime after 9:00pm Can't leave until Staci gets home from work.

There is a local rider from Bishop that may stop by the camp. Told him were not getting there till Sun morning, and I offered to guest pit if he needs it. Name is Nils Davis.

We'll take good care of him Rick.
Also volunteered to pit a friend of Jerry Grabow's, since Jerry is busy with the race and being BLM Liason it would be tough for him to pour the kid's gas, nice kid, met him and his dad for dinner with Jerry. Also working on a couple new desert racers from Thumper Talk, don't think we'll see them at 4 Aces, maybe HBMC euro.
-
We should be there Sunday morning, will help with pits as needed.
Prolly can't pour gas, but can do most anything else needed to help the racers.
-
Looks like we wont make it out this weekend.Have fun and be safe.See you all at checkers H&H.

Even remembered how to change a front flat, with Gumby and Charlie's help :o

Just looked at the results and only 3 racers are listed as Viewfinders! If you raced, please ask for corrections to the club and have Viewfinders listed so we can get the club points.
-
So how was the race? Did we miss a good one?

I would like to thank Gumby, my Dad and Charlie for helping me fix the flat. They helped me salvage a finish. Looks like I just made it out on the 3rd looped b4 they closed it. I managed to pass a few more Vets to keep my championship hopes alive. I would also like to thank my Dad for allowing me to ride his Cough Cough(Husky). My KTM is under the weather. The course was not bad but was not that fun either. 96 miles of whoops.
-
I only rode one loop and I thought it was a fun one. I'm not very fast so I manage to pick my lines carefully and miss a lot of the whoops, may not be the fastest line, but I save my energy. I thought the course was well thought out and flowed very well. Some tight fun stuff, a couple neat hills, much better than two years ago, that one lacked any imagination whatsoever. Prelim. results have me mid pack, 7th out of 13. Considering my hangover before the start and my total lack of ambition it wasn't too bad. Sure glad I only did one loop.
Oh yea, and all this in spite of McGrath (aka cheatin' Jim) stealing my gas Saturday night.

If it were not for the Husky, J J would have earned NO POINTS !!

Hey Aaron, THE HUSKY FINISHED Pot
Would have been alot better finish had it not been for a flat front tire, proabbly a 15-20 minute delay swapping out the tube.
