Title: 2017 D37 calendar
Post by: Dave Springer on November 15, 2016, 07:05:16 pm
Here is the 2017 D37 race calendar for your reading enjoyment.  I won't start brow beating you about signing up for a pit yet, but I did want to point out 2 races in particular.  Jackrabbits are back on the schedule as the first race of the year with a Sprint Enduro race at Red Mtn January 8.  United MC is also doing one of those May 21 at Johnson Valley.  A new race format somewhat similar to a Qualifier Enduro...no timekeeping, just timed sprint sections.  Sounds like fun.

Just for comparison, here is the D 37 calendar from 1969.  You could literally do a desert race every weekend.  And NO summer break.  How times have changed.  Also WAY more places where races were held. http://thebannerisup.district37ama.org/history/calendar-69.jpg

Banners Up website  http://thebannerisup.district37ama.org/alumni.shtml is dedicated to history of D37.  Lots of cool pictures, stories etc.  Check it out.

I don't think we need a pit for a sprint enduro do we? Aren't they similar to a qualifer?
