Who is coming out to the DMC National on 1/26? Carl's Jr. will be there!
Also .. a raffle will be held to support the Hawkins family (members of DMC). As I understand, Mr. Hawkins was involved in an accident leaving his wife a widow and a young daughter. His wife is terminally ill which would only leave his young daughter (18 years old). His daughter currently attends college, works full time, and still manages to take mom to and from her doctor appointments and morally support her mother. They are in dire need of financial assistance so I suggest all of ya buy a couple of raffle tickets to support a great cause and up your chances of winning something good!!
Looking forward to seeing all of you out there!

I am still breaking in the Husky. Should be ready to race by mid March. I will most likely just be taking a day trip to Cougar Buttes and riding to the other side of Johnson with my dad.

Change of plans. Looks like we will be camping in Johnson Valley. Are you guys bringing the sound system? I just want to know how far away to park.

The Barney's will not be out, I have issues with getting the National bug going so my thinking is if I don't go I will not need to deal with the bug. For me this type of thing can get out of control very quickly some of you seen that when I was 40. Keep the rubber side down and I will you all at Taft.

I can pretty much guarantee Russ won't be there, he hates the Nationals and doesn't usually drag his trailer to Lucerne. As far as I know James isn't racing either.

WOW, this is news to me, he was talking about it last night, got his new pipe yesterday and was counting his money to see if he could afford to go and thought he could make it, maybe Bubba flaked or he counted his pennies again. Matt is still planning on racing but if Kyle and Bubba don't go out he'll probably head out Sunday morning.

Bubba flaked... Kyle's contacting another member (that's why we joined this lovely club!) to see what can be worked out!~ I think Kyle actually has enough pennies... but we shall see! Why doesn't Kyle & Matt drive out together on Saturday!? That would make the most sense... Either way I am sure he will figure it out!
Better yet.. why doesn't dad put the chores aside and bring the fam trailer out and go riding with his boys in exchange for the boys assisting with dad's chores!? ::) haha!

I'm trying to convince him to go out with Matt tomorrow night, Sandy said Kyle could stay with him, it's only he and Erica, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind Matt too.
As far as me bringing the trailer, I would love to if I could get that kind of help next weekend, but that will never happen, seems like it only goes one way around here! I've been going full bore for weeks and need a weekend to get some stuff done and decompress.

Well a partial update, Kyle won the LtWt2 Novice, again. This time with no clutch for much of the race. He told Pam he lost the clutch in the first five miles or so. He's really stoked, his first National win!
Matt DNF'd again, fouling plugs. Gotta get that boy to go out and do some jetting work, this is rediculous.

Way to go rags. Looks like the boy is growing some stones/pebbles. It had to have been tough without a clutch.

When he came into the pits he wasn't going to go back out but Uncle Mike and Pete talked him into giving it a shot. He said he got stuck on a couple of hills but revved it up and stuck it in gear (OUCH!). We'll see how many shavings are in the trans after that episode!

I am so proud of our little Rag Boy. All of the abuse from the club must have finally made a man out of him. I almost shed a tear yesterday. :'( Well not really, but I am really impressed.

He's a reallll sweetheart! He brought me my fave sweet treat for me to the dez..... Took some abuse on Sat night then woke up and conquered the National like a man! Wayyy to go Kyyyyle!... Jenn's proud! :P

I LOVE DESERT CLUBS Even though I couldn't be there I knew Matt and Kyle would be well taken care of.
