Hi folks, Just finished reading the entire SB 249 bill that has been introduced by the District 26 Senator Allen. This thing is a draconian bill that he has said needs to be passed because it is an emergency. It may come
up for a vote on Tuesday March 7th. It is an effort to basically eliminate the State OHV program and close OHV areas that don't meet certain criteria. It allows monies in the OHV Trust Fund to be moved to the General fund.
It creates a "science board" to monitor our OHV areas and they can deem an area off limits and / or close them permanently. There's a lot of bull**** in it. This was written by some eco-enviormental group, it is long and wordy but the under lying theme is to basically eliminate the riding areas and the OHV program. Read it and weep.

you are totally correct, it is a death knell to our OHV parks and the green sticker program. need to contact your state representatives and tell them you oppose this bill.
