Sorry buddy, we have plans this weekend but I saw where Kari and Kyle are planning on coming out.

Kyle raced on team a few years ago and we helped pit them. It is quite an event and that was before it paid D37 points so should be even larger this year.

If you can make it you will not be sorry. Glen Helen does a nice job of putting this event on.

Well with the 24 hr in the books I would like to thank all you who came out, helped in the pits and cheered me on the through out the entire race.  I came away with a 3rd in the ironman class had probably the longest day of my life.  I started off pretty well I raced my dad's gas gas till about 5pm or so and I only had it upside down once between 10am.  Have to thank the purvines racing team for some pills and sports drinks that really helped out with the cramping in my legs.  And thanks a big thanks to Charlie for letting me borrow his light, which worked great for the whole night.  Riding in glen helen at night was a huge challange in itself.  Those hills were so silty if you got behind someone on this hills you could see a thing.  The night was going pretty well until I dislocated my shoulder at about 1am, I put in a couple of more laps before I couldn't keep the bike up anymore and had to take a nap.  I got up and going again put in a couple more laps and was told 1st and 2nd were way ahead and I probably wasn't going to catch them at this point and 4th was way behind and didn't have much of a chance to catch me, so we decided I could wait till the sun came up (this being about 5:30am I think) I took a nap was woken up about 7ish and told 4th hasn't moved so with only 3 hrs left they couldn't catch me and I wasn't going to catch 2nd I decided to wait till 9:30 and put in my last parade lap in to take the checker flag and get my 3rd place finish.  I ended the race with 31 laps which came out to be about 310 miles on from what I have heard was probably one of the roughest 24 hr course yet.

Gumby is the man. He did a great job and earned a alot of respect from all around him. At around 2pm or so he was not looking so good but he came back to life and moved head on into the rest of the event. Again great job! _.._
