Sounds good Jim.  I will still be on the Husky most likely so it will have to be the El Mirage loop.  I won't have enough gas to extend it to the Lake LA section.  Unless you want to just do the fun stuff on the other side of the Highway.  Let me know so I can change gearing accordingly.

Also thank you for feeding us and letting me scratch up your CRF.

Aaron, you are more than welcome, the CRF still runs great even after you rode it! We just finished 70 miles in Mammoth, nothing as technical as KM but still a LOT of fun.

It was great to see you and Jenny up there, glad you're feeling so well.

I say we set the last weekend of July as a standing Viewies weekend in K.M. What do you all think? Mark your calendars now, see you there in 2010.

Last weekend in July sounds good to me too.  I think me and Jenni are also going to take a tent up there in a month or so and do some more woods riding if you feel like showing up again.  You can't beat that place for summertime riding.

Some "real world" numbers for those who might have some reservations about the road up/back from KM.

The GMC Diesel pulled the hill with no problem at 107* at the bottom and about 80* at the top.

Engine got to 235* and trans 208*, well within limits.

The trip down, engine was 210* and trans was 235*

The Old Gasser Chebby did the uphill at 210* engine and 275* trans.

The trip down with the Chebby was normal temps for the engine/trans Gasser but HOT brakes.

I took the infared temp gauge along and checked all the wheels/brakes at the bottom, front brakes were 308* and rears 405*, trailer brakes about 180*, well  within limits.  Truck brakes don't do anything crazy until well over 500*

So get Your arse up there next trip !!
